In-universe Language

I just realized there may not have been too much of a discussion in this topic, but has there been a consensus on how to go about with the language in the VA universe? Obviously we would be speaking our native tongue amongst ourselves in the chat, but when interacting with the world and dealing with names and the lore, is there a mix and matching of existing languages that would form basis of the new one? Is it entirely new?

Or would the lore essentially be continuation of our reality but set on different timeline or in a very distant future.

Point is: Will something like "HMS Queen Mary" as a name for an NPC ship make sense according to the planned lore?

From what I can tell from the lore updates the native language is English because of the use of common western names like James and the use of common slang. Nothing official is released but as the player no different native language I would guess.
